Millions of people in Russia and around the world are learning this language every year because it is our world's shared way of talking together about our - business, travel, medicine, law, science, and life in general. In fact, there are not enough teachers (and not very many professional native-English teachers). I'm a professional teacher of English as a Second Language (and business studies). I was born in London (where I completed Higher University Education), and worked in various professions there for more than twenty years including time spent running my own business. My main advantage as a teacher is my practical real-world experience in English businesses with English and international business professionals. I've been teaching general and business English in Moscow since 2008. I've also worked for a Moscow-based international Management Consultancy. Currently, I teach adult individuals and groups from the general public and corporate sector. My clients include a number of high-profile executives, (some oligarchs) and companies such as Russian Railways, Norilsk Nickel, Metaloinvest, LG, Microsoft, Deutsche Bank, British American Tobacco, Mars UK, Yandex, MegaFone, Toyota, Henkel, Baker Hughes, Dentsu-Smart, Action (and others). The people and companies who ask Marcus to teach them are generally mature and motivated professionals from areas such as (Russian government - Whitehouse), finance, business & sales, management and legal, technical and expert, strategy and general administration. Their level of English varies from beginner to advanced. I like to use a selection of good quality books (because many "thousands" of hours have gone into making these learning materials as perfect as possible).
I often work like an educator, teaching not just the foundations of grammar, but the principle and practice of good English communication for context-specific purposes such as business negotiations, business plans - (and applications for bank funding), presentations, cross-cultural issues, including nuances of every day inter-personal conversation (how to make "small talk").
